Abstract

Microgames or postcard games are small, compact games designed to be played within 30-40mins. Originally popularized by commercial wargaming magazines, microgames often featured few components, rapid gameplay, and a high level of accessibility. Their hallmark was their ease of play. Recently, microgames are increasingly used for professional military education (PME).
